Bangkok is a foodie’s haven. There are so many good restaurants and eateries to spoil you silly. To provide a little uniqueness, AsiaStyleAsia tries out ISAO Sushi Bar along Sukhumvit area, probably one of the best Japanese restaurants in Bangkok.
ISAO Sushi Bar is all about offering contemporary Japanese cuisine that will not burn away your pockets. With fabulous food creativity and tastes, the dining ambience is trendy, mid-range that attracts a young and stylish crowd.
The first highly praised signature dish will be ISAO’s sushi sandwich. The delectable tastes from the sushi sandwich are well orchestrated. This is a combination of spicy tuna and stuffed salmon with tempura batter, ebiko and scallion – totally brilliant.
ISAO Sushi Bar presents traditional Japanese food with a western fusion. The Volcano will be another must-have dish. It forms a gastronomical adventure of textures and tastes.
Jackie is a popular crowd-pleasing item. Decorated in the form of a caterpillar, the sushi is made up of shrimp tempura, ebiko, avocado wrapped with ebi, together with a special savory-sweet sauce.
The Dragon comes with another level of cuteness, with a generous serving of avocado and fresh water eel. Yes, they do taste better than they look.
Whilst ISAO comes across as cheap and good, we are very impressed with their generous serving of fresh sashimi. Overall, the food at ISAO is good, bold and playful. Not to mention, the prices are a plus point.
*They are extremely popular during dinner, reservations are highly recommended unless you are willing to wait in line. It is advisable to go during lunch.
