Entitled Collection De La Maison, the inaugural Fine Bone China collection pays tribute to the Robinsons store at Raffles Place in 1858. Consisting of a side plate, tea cup & saucer, tea pot, sugar bowl, mug and milk jug, every item is trimmed with gold edges, making this collection an elegant celebration of Robinsons’ storied heritage in Singapore. The illustration on the chinaware features Robinsons first store image, which brings a classy touch of heritage and beautiful nostalgia. Priced from $25.00 for a Side Plate to $59.00 for a Milk Jug, Collection De La Maison will be available for purchase from 6 to 25 August at The Space at Robinsons The Heeren Level 1.
SHARE YOUR HISTORY WITH ROBINSONS
This June & July, Robinsons will also be curating parts of its 157 year history in a build up to the official launch of the Heritage Shop. The Heritage Shop will feature a collection of items from Robinsons’ past and showcase the exclusive new Fine Bone China collection. The public is invited to participate in a collection drive to donate their items bought from the store between 1950 to 1990 for archival. To encourage donation and as a token of appreciation, Robinsons will reward the contributor a $100 Robinsons shopping voucher when Robinsons accepts their items.
HERITAGE SHOP CURATION PROCESS
1) Interested donors are invited to submit photos together with a story of how their items came into their possession to the Robinsons Concierge (firstname.lastname@example.org).
2) The Heritage Shop team will shortlist the entries and then contact eligible donors to bring their items down to Robinsons The Heeren Level 3 at a specified date and time.
3) A professional curator will assess the authenticity and condition of the donated items. For each verified item, the donor will sign a Deed of Gift and receive a $100 Robinsons Voucher
