Quietly tucked along the busy street, Wine Mansion is an old guard to the dining scene on Keong Saik Road. Soon, it will be celebrating its 6th anniversary.
With good accolades, Wine Mansion is a fast rising wine bar. The best I could remember, a good quality bottle of wine was going as low as $50..
The full-fledged dining restaurant is designed with rustic but warm tones as it offers a warm and inviting ambiance.
Helmed by Chef Janmat, he has created a stellar series of creative and sophisticated dishes that are non-pretentious, but come as real. It is indeed a place for very affordable wine with great food. Like the Shashukha ($10), it served like the perfect dish to relish from hangover. It was refreshing teaser with cheese and runny eggs over beef gravy. We literally slurped the whole dish.
The Beef Short Ribs ($28) was as tasty as it looks. It set with a beautiful slow-cooked short rib on a bed of braised daikon. The beef was very tender and succulent. Not to mention, it was a really huge serving to begin with.
Everything was very well executed on their menu. It is value for money for a wine bar’s meal, especially if you don’t go heavy with the drinks. You will be able to enjoy great dining deals like Tuesday Oyster Night with $2/per piece only!
The next better thing to do is to grab a bottle of wine, and everything will be perfect.
The biggest sell for me at this wine bar was their free-flow alcohol madness for 4 hours, every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at $35. Yes, I mention FREE-FLOW… that’s something really value for money.
