Bangkok and rooftop bars are each great on their own. If you love to explore one Bangkok sky bar with a more cultured experience up in the sky, consider heading to Sky on 20, Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit.
The distinctive atmosphere
Perched on the 26th floor of Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Sky on 20 offers remarkable Bangkok skyline views. It offers happy and laidback vibes with a good atmosphere.
The decor
Each of the Bangkok’s rooftop bars has its own distinctive characteristics. Most times, they go together like cocktails and skyline views. Like Sky on 20, you need to go through a steep staircase. When you made it to the entrance, the bar is accumulated an impressive amount of details – comfortably sofa seats, bright lights and heavy steel doors.
The drinks
The cocktails are curated by Portuguese bar manager Joao Dos Santos, who previously worked as head bartender at the Eastern Mangroves Hotel and Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi. The cocktails are not too sweet for one’s liking. Like New York Sour, it is one classic version of whisky sours that has added fresh lemon juice to cut the sweetness.
You have to try one of their popular cocktails – Pornstar Martini! Using vanilla infused Smirnoff Vodka and passion fruit puree, they are adding a subtle tartness and deep flavour to the drink.
Verdict
There are some favorite Bangkok sky bars and restaurants on my list, Sky on 20 will mark as a new personal favorite for its buzzing good vibes. The entire menu of cocktails was very impressive.
