A Saigon Hotel with a touch of local artistry and taste, Hotel des Arts in Ho Chi Minh City is the stuff of class and sophistication. Nestled in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s District 3, Hotel des Arts is only a stone throw away from the city’s many attractions.
A Tastefully Curated Saigon Hotel
The lobby is often the space that makes or breaks one’s experience at the hotel simply because first impression counts. With freshly arranged orchids adorning the spaces in the lobby and interesting pieces of furniture tastefully and carefully specked across the lobby, the lobby space feels comfortable, spacious and interesting.
The lounge space is impeccably designed and organised. Making one feel right at home immediately. Every piece of art work, furnishing or decoration is carefully curated by the owner, some being personally owned pieces. This attention to detail certainly made us excited about what to expect from the room!
Relax Yourself After a Crazy Day Exploring Saigon
The Grand Deluxe Room is undoubtedly a great space to rest your mind and body. The level of detail to which the room is designed with a full suite of amenities, including a bathtub rivals many five-star chains.
From the lighting to the fixtures in the toilets, nothing is skimmed to provide a great experience for its patrons.
Toiletries is one of my main peeves when it comes to assessing the quality of a good hotel. Hotel des Arts offers their Acqua di Toscana range of toiletries, a range that’s exquisitely selected from local sources and the scent it confers is pure comfort.
Enjoying the great outdoors – The infinity pool and rooftop bar
The infinity pool above the hotel is splendid, providing an unprecedented panoramic view of Ho Chi Minh City in all its splendid glory. Perfect place to soak in the midday sun if walking about proves too muggy with the weather.
Perched at the top of the hotel is the highest rooftop bar in Saigon right beside the infinity pool. The Social Club Bar transforms from a laid-back resort-like bar stretch with outstanding views of the city-scape and by night, the city revellers come to party as they organise themed nights with DJs on the deck.
Social Club Restaurant is Ho Chi Minh Hotel Scene’s Special Find
Social Club Restaurant takes the interior space of the top floor, with a remarkable Western menu that you can hardly find fault with. An environment that is designed to provide privacy and comfort for its patrons, Social Club’s exudes a form of ambiance that is relaxing and elegant.
The food at Social Club Restaurant can hardly go wrong. Take your pick from small plates, to larger sharing mains for the table, and there’s a bit of everything from Spanish to French influence.
The cocktail drinks were outstanding, and definitely mixologist-credible. Artful, and tasty selections throng the menu, with the use of topnotch spirits and liquors for that added layer of luxury.
The morning after at Saigon Kitchen
The scene at Saigon Kitchen in this Saigon Hotel is indubitably one that assaults your senses and wakes you up with all the flavours of Vietnam.
Serving a mixture of Vietnamese food and continental cuisine, the Saigon Kitchen cannot get anymore exciting. A great way to start the day!
Post-Brekkie in Vietnam: Gym, Spa and Supper
After breakfast and some walking around, feel free to hit the very well-equipped gym in the Hotel des Arts.
Only to hit the Spa at this Saigon Hotel where the facilities and environment is as good as, if not better than, your hotel room.
And end your night in the hotel room should you feel like having a quiet meal. Try the Beef Soup Pho from the in-room dining menu at only SGD$10! A definite steal for the quality of pho you get.
Verdict
Friendly staff, exquisite taste, good food, beautiful design, and exclusivity are the basic building blocks of a good hotel. Hotel des Arts does great in all these areas and is set to be the Saigon hotel for the millennial jetsetters – who beyond the usual amenities and luxury of a hotel chain, is looking for exquisiteness and taste.
