Italian-inspired steakhouse Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse has brought its rib-eye, wagyu and t-bone goodness to Mohamed Sultan Road, Singapore.

Newly renovated with a stylish look

The restaurant outfit is intimately designed with a lukewarm Italian farmhouse feel and a classic looking cocktail bar at the entrance. Everything is set for a real starry night experience.

The menu sees a good range of antipasti such freshly-shucked tsarskaya french oysters, wild australian mussels with white wine or slow-cooked octopus. Like their polipo ($26), it appeals with a savoury dollop of chorizo, romesco sauce and preserved lemon.

We had the Bucatini (spicy tomato pasta with jumbo prawns, $32). Combined with fresh tasting seafood, the sauce is distinctively spicy with a good kick. I must say that the portions are very huge.

    “Bistecca” is Italian for Steak

The 300g, grass fed, 45-day dry-aged Scotland rib-eye ($78) is rubbed with herb mix and wood-fire grilled perfectly. Everything is set for an indulgent steak experience.

The steak is being served with a duo of all-Italian sides: creamed spinach ($13) with crispy shallots (creamy but not overwhelming) and wild field mushrooms ($13). Intense flavours are well captured in every dish, everything is paired with quality wine perfectly.

If you are up for a huge appetite, you can call for a char-grilled T-bone steak to share. Prepared in traditional Tuscan style over a high temperature wood-fired grill to produce a charred crust yet tender and juicy centre for an indulgent steak experience.

The dessert was also a great highlight of our dinner experience. We ordered the black forest ($15) that’s served with cherry brandy and vanilla gelato. The chocolate flavour is very outstanding and ends with strong brandy taste.

    Verdict

Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse is such a contemporary, classical Italian dining restaurant. It is so tastefully designed to provide a lovely dining space. Like any meat-eater’s paradise, the extensive menu features imported pasture raised beef and organic grain-finished under the highest ethical standards.
