Tucked away at the rooftop of CapitaSpring with sights of Kaarla and 1-Arden Food Forest, I was eager to learn more about Oumi’s dining experience.
Oversighting the Food Forest
The ‘Farm-to-Table’ concepts at 1-Arden takes sustainability and responsible farming into the mainstream in a fun, social and engaging environment. The Oumi’s team of chefs and mixologists become advocates and present their creativity and knowledge in dishes and cocktails which underscore various stories behind specially selected ingredients taken directly from the Food Forest.

Starting off Oumi’s 5-course tasting menu (SGD$198) with an unforgettable fried home-made tofu, it’s well layered with delicate flavors from the sea urchin, pumpkin and shiitake Tsuyu.

The Oumi’s experience goes beyond savoring a gourmet meal. Guests can marvel at the unobstructed view of the open concept kitchen. the talented chefs on board strive to create a dining experience that matches the grandeur of the city itself. This place is lit.

Seasonality and quality are at the forefront of the chef’s mind
My teeth are superfluous for this experience. Next, it was one of the mains with grilled A5 Wagyu that’s lightly grilled on the outside and all but dissolves in my mouth with its tenderness and juiciness. It’s perfectly cooked.

Another one of the favorite moments is to savor the soul-warming bowl of somen that’s served with seafood dashi, Hokkaido scallop and yuzu. You will definitely beam with joy and happiness.

This delightful dining experience at Oumi is one of the finest picks over seasonality and quality.
