The Japanese-Italian restaurant and bar settles in the fringes of Singapore’s trendiest dining quarters

Gourmet diehards of Singapore,  your weekly dining ritual is about to get a tad more interesting. We are introducing you one of Singapore’s leading restaurants and bars, offering a distinct dining concept with its Japanese and Italian cuisines and signature cocktails, Caffé B. The move follows six years of success at the Marina Bay Sands.

Raise a toast to the interesting bar bites

For elevated moment of taking Instagram-worthy food photos, order up the Farmer’s Egg ($12) served with creamy clam espuma and sea urchin or Cured Salmon with Dill ($12). Everything is perfect with caramelised onion mousse on Buckwheat Crackers.

There are many other crowd-pleasers such as Hiroshima oyster ($15) and Tuna Vol-au-vent $12. Sad to say, their handcrafted cocktails are not as well-executed as their food.

Good and hearty Japanese-Italian mains for sharing

Caffé B is tucked away in a corner of Club Street and it is designed in a way where the bar is situated on ground level, casual dining space on the second and possibly, another fine dining space for tasting menu on the top floor.

But if hearty Japanese-Italian favourites are your thing, the menu’s got plenty. The prices are set at very affordable range. One can order up Risotto Nero $18. Of high quality and palate pleasing, the sauteed risotto is further tossed with buttered Parmesan Cheese and seared scallops.

Prefer to load up on protein? Try their Lamb Rack ($24). It is featuring some cauliflower purée, rosemary and eggplant caviar. This main is perfect for sharing with your dining companion.

Satisfy your sweet tooth by stepping into the dessert wonderland of Peach Melba ($10). Innovating with peach es-puma, everything is paired with ingredients like rasberry puree, peach gelato and many more.

    Verdict

Overall, the bar bites come with hits and misses, their mains are really to go for. Cosy and excellent spaces found all around the airy bar and restaurant are perfect for quality gatherings over dinner.
