The best run clubs don’t make you feel judged for your pace. They make you feel welcomed for showing up. Urban Milers makes it frills-free and easy. It is so well-organized for anyone to walk into easily. Whether someone’s training for a race, returning after a long break, or just trying to move more regularly, the structure makes it easy to join without feeling out of place.
How It Begins
Three friends decided to run together and opened it up to whoever wanted to join. Urban Milers started on 8 February 2024 with a simple idea – make running feel welcoming rather than intimidating, and open to anyone regardless of pace.
What started as a small CBD evening run grew through word of mouth. People kept coming back, and brought others with them. The pitch was never about times or performance. It was about showing up after work, getting a run in, and meeting people while doing it.
Urban Milers was built on the idea that running doesn’t have to feel competitive. The name reflects something a lot of Singapore runners know well, trying to stay fit and social while managing work, and fitting in city runs where you can. It now regularly draws over 250 runners across multiple pace groups.

Run Route & Schedule
They regularly host their runs on alternate Wednesdays, starting from The Breeze Shelter at Marina Bay.
The breathtaking views of the skyline, the Marina Bay Sands, and the Singapore Flyer make this route a favorite for all of us. It’s more than just a run; it’s about soaking in the atmosphere, enjoying the company, and motivating each other to finish strong.
What to Expect
The team usually reaches out to first-time runners beforehand, so you’re not walking in cold. Pick a pace group, and go from there.
There are multiple pace groups for different abilities, pacers and run leaders to keep things organized, and enough of a social atmosphere that a lot of people end up connecting beyond the runs themselves.

Review
The run experience is genuinely inclusive, motivating, and welcoming. As a beginner, you’ll never feel pressured to keep up or prove yourself. Instead, Urban Milers creates a supportive environment where runners of all abilities can feel comfortable and confident.
Whether you’re taking your first steps into running or working towards a new fitness goal, there’s plenty of space to learn, grow, and progress at your own pace. It’s a community that encourages everyone to start where they are and enjoy the journey together.
