Wine Lust 2019 returns for a third edition as 1-Group celebrates all things wine in the month-long festival from 1 to 31 August, with an intimate affair spread across of 9 award winning restaurants, featuring specialist wine events, luscious brunches and happy hour offerings. It’s arguably the most anticipated wine event of the year.
We experienced a winning East-meets-West Cellarmaster Wine Dinner held at Mimi @ Riverhouse. Of course, no wine festival is complete without wine. Featuring an array of award winning wines, we explored intriguing flavors of the East paired with Jermann Chardonnay IGT 2017 with 93 points by James Suckling, Kanonkop Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 with 89 points by Neal Martin, and many more.
The wines are specially selected and paired during Mimi’s 6-course dinner. For example, the 100% Marlborough Chardonnay from Giesens The Brothers has a very vibrant texture that’s equally refreshing and enticing. It paired with the fish maw soup perfectly.
Another amazing dish will be their cod fish with preserved radish and chili. It’s inimitably satisfying as it pairs away with Jermann Chardonnay IGT 2017.
More wine events and dining experiences with over 500 wine varietals are happening till 31st August 2019. Do visit www.winelust.sg or Facebook.
